IRC

You can connect with our web-client (click the green arrow) or you can use your own IRC client:

Server: irc.geekshed.net

Channel: #urbanphilosophy

To register your nickname, simply type /msg NickServ REGISTER yourpassword youremail (obviously using a password and your e-mail account).

Once you have registered your nickname, you will need to identify yourself every time you connect. If you do not, your name will be changed. You can identify yourself by typing /msg NickServ IDENTIFY password while connected with your username.

Ventrilo (Voice Chat)

Thanks to generous donations, we also have a voice chat server. In order to access the server, you must download and install one of the Ventrilo clients from here. Most users will need this if running on Windows or this if running on a Mac.

After installing (and running) the program, you will need to enter our server information to connect.

Hostname: 64.34.202.140

Port number: 3974

Password: There is a password for the server and given the limited number of slots, we must request that you join us in IRC and ask for it. It is changed regularly. This will allow us to utilize the space we have most efficiently.
